Eco-Printing Workshop - Silk Scarf with Merino Babywear option
Learn the basics of eco-printing on silk and take home a silk scarf you printed yourself. In this special workshop you'll also have the option of printing a piece of merino babywear (select from stretch-and-grow, cardigan or leggings) to keep for your baby or to give as a beautiful gift!

Spend the day discovering your next obsession - eco-printing on silk!
In this small group workshop you will forage for leaves to print (weather permitting), create some experimental eco-print bundles on pieces of silk fabric and then eco-print a silk scarf. You'll also have the option to print a piece of merino babywear (select from stretch-and-grow, cardigan or leggings) for a small additional charge*.
Through these activities you will learn:
- about printing onto silk and wool
- how to make your own iron mordant
- what basic equipment you will need to eco-print at home
- about fabric suppliers for eco-printing
All materials for printing, including sample fabrics and a silk scarf to print, are included in the course.
You will come away from this workshop with a new creative obsession as well as some pieces of silk fabric and a scarf that you have eco-printed yourself.
